noun
Definition
FOD Prevention Fiberscopes are usually equipped with a Working Channel. The classification of “FOD Prevention” means that not only is the Fiberscope able to inspect the area in question, but it might be able to retrieve any Foreign Object Debris (FOD) that may be present. Magnets, claws, scrapers, or even a water line can be fed through the Working Channel to assist in any minor FOD that may exist in the inspection application. See Fiberscope for more information about these inspection cameras.
