Definition
An Outage is a period of time where a machine is out of commission. Outages can either be planned or non-routine. Maintenance technicians often use Video Borescopes, Videoscopes, or other Inspection Cameras both before and during Outages. Before, these tools are used to plan, prevent, or predict the procedure. During, they are used to Overhaul the system and bring it back into working condition as soon as possible. For many industries, Outages are extremely detrimental to the company’s business.
