The Undercarriage is the section of a vehicle that is underneath the main cabin of the vehicle. For trucks and automobiles, the Undercarriage contains the chassis. For aircraft, it includes the landing gear and the lowest parts of the Fuselage. Looking like a web of complex parts, the Undercarriage is an often used tool in the smuggler’s arsenal. Border Patrol agents frequently use Borescopes, Videoscopes, and other variations of Inspection Cameras to safely check the Undercarriage of vehicles for Contraband.
